📌 Generally, 1 credit hour = 18 lecture hours; Laboratory/Experimental courses = 36–54 hours.
The University Act:
In principle, one credit is calculated as 18 hours of instruction. The calculation of credits for internships or experiments shall be determined by each university. (Enforcement Rules of the University Act, Article 23)
NTHU Academic Regulations:
The number of credits for each subject is, in principle, one credit for 18 hours of instruction. For internships or experiments, one credit is typically awarded for 36 to 54 hours of instruction, and the course may be completed within 16 weeks. For the Post-Baccalaureate Medicine program, clinical clerkships are, in principle, one credit for a maximum of 80 hours. (NTHU Academic Regulations, Article 21)
