For Undergraduate Students
Before attempting to register for courses that exceed the maximum credit load or enroll in a credit underload, it is important for students to obtain permission from their academic advisor and dean. Failure to obtain the necessary permissions may have negative consequences, such as elective courses being randomly selected for elimination if the maximum credit load is exceeded. Therefore, students must follow the school's guidelines and seek the necessary permissions before making any changes to their academic schedules.
Students who would like to register for more than the maximum credits listed above or apply for a credit underload must obtain permission from their advisors and academic deans.
For Graduate Students
A graduate student who fails to enroll in at least one course per semester or who fails to engage in thesis or dissertation study may be deemed to have withdrawn from their studies.
