Regulation for Credit Hour
Credit Calculation System
Course credits at NTHU are calculated based on the total instruction hours completed within a standard 16-week semester:
- Standard Lecture Courses: 1 credit is awarded for every 18 hours of instruction.
- Internship or Laboratory Courses: 1 credit is generally based on 36 to 54 hours of instruction.
