Course Enrollment Confirmation: Avoid Misunderstandings and Ensure Successful Registration
Course Add/Drop Deadline for the Fall 113 Semester: September 16, 2024 (Monday) at 9:00 AM
Correctly Confirm Your Course Enrollment
Please be sure to use the Academic Information System to check your final course registration results. Only the courses displayed there are confirmed as enrolled. Any courses not appearing on your schedule are not successfully registered.
Important Reminders
- Do not exceed the course load limit: Freshmen to seniors can take up to 25 credits per semester (unless approved for an overload).
- Do not fall below the minimum course load: Freshmen to juniors must take at least 16 credits per semester, and seniors must take at least 9 credits (unless approved for an underload).
Common Misunderstandings
-
Misunderstanding 1: If I can access the course on eLearn or eeclass, it means I’m enrolled in the course.
Fact: eLearn and eeclass are only digital learning platforms. Instructors or teaching assistants may temporarily add students who have not yet successfully registered for the course. Accessing the platform does not mean you are officially enrolled. -
Misunderstanding 2: Although my course registration result doesn’t show it, the instructor has approved my course add request on eForm, so I’m enrolled.
Fact: Even if the instructor approves your course add request, if the course registration result does not reflect it, there’s an issue. If this issue is not resolved and reprocessed through eForm before the add/drop deadline, the approval becomes invalid. -
Misunderstanding 3: The instructor called my name in class or sent me an email, so I’m enrolled in the course.
Fact: The attendance list may include students awaiting random selection. Being called in attendance or receiving an email from the instructor does not confirm your enrollment in the course. -
Misunderstanding 4: "I thought…", "I feel like…", "I imagined…"
Fact: Course registration must follow the correct procedures and system results. Relying on assumptions may lead to failure in registering for courses.
