Taiwan Artificial Intelligence College Alliance, TAICA
In order to provide students with opportunities to take AI courses across different institutions and to foster collaboration among schools in cultivating future talent, the Ministry of Education established the Taiwan Artificial Intelligence College Alliance. This alliance officially began operations in the 2024 academic year, and our university is one of its member institutions.
Courses Offered
In the first semester of the 113th academic year, the following 5 lead courses will be offered (2 from National Tsing Hua University, 2 from National Taiwan University, and 1 from National Cheng Kung University). Note: Lead courses are exemplary courses selected by the program office after expert review.

Course Enrollment Instructions
Tsing Hua University Courses
- Students can select through the course selection system. If the course is full, students can still try to apply for an additional selection.
- Inter-university applications are not accepted.
Courses at National Cheng Kung University and National Taiwan University
- Starting from August 30, the add-or-drop system will open for course selection. The system will process course applications daily by random selection, and enrollment will close once the course is full.
- No extra selection will be accepted.
- Students who successfully enroll do not need to complete inter-university enrollment procedures.
- If a student wishes to withdraw from a course during the midterm period, they must apply within the withdrawal period set by Tsing Hua University.
- Inter-university applications are not accepted.
- Please note that class schedules and periods may vary across universities. Some courses may include synchronous in-person exams or presentations, so students should pay close attention to the related regulations.

Digital Learning Platform, NTU COOL
The five courses listed above (2 from NTHU, 2 from NTU, and 1 from NCKU) will all utilize National Taiwan University's NTU COOL digital learning platform.
Please be aware that all email notifications sent through NTU COOL will only be delivered to the official school email address associated with each student and will not be sent to personal email accounts (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail, etc.). Therefore, all enrolled students must ensure that the email address registered in the academic information system is their National Tsing Hua University email address (ending with nthu.edu.tw). Otherwise, you will not receive any notifications from the platform.
Don't forget to log in AIS > Personal Information, and update your school email address.
Once the email address is confirmed, it cannot be changed for the entire semester. If you discover any registration errors, please immediately notify the Division of Curriculum to ensure you receive all platform notifications.(curricul@my.nthu.edu.tw)
