Understanding NTHU Course Codes & Class Periods
Course Code & Academic Levels
Each NTHU course code consists of a 15-byte identifier. Below is the official structural breakdown:

First 3 Digits: Academic Year (e.g., 113 = Year 2024).

4th & 5th Digits: Semester (e.g., 10 = 1st Semester / Fall, 20 = 2nd Semester / Spring, 30 = Summer Session).

Alphabetic Letters: Offering Department (e.g., PHYS = Physics).
4
Next 4 Digits: Course Number (Indicates the target academic level).
5
Last 2 Digits: Section Number (e.g., 00 = Single section course).
