First to third selection
Eligible Students
All enrolled students across all levels (both undergraduate and postgraduate) are eligible to participate.
- Students Resuming Studies: Students returning from a leave of absence may participate in course selection starting from the 1st round of the semester they plan to resume their studies, and are eligible to enroll at any subsequent stage.
- New Students on Immediate Leave: If a newly admitted student takes a leave of absence during their very first semester (resulting in no academic record) and plans to return in the following academic year, they can only participate in course selection during the "New Student Course Selection" phase of that upcoming academic year.
- Deferred Admission Students: Students with deferred admission will be treated as new students for enrollment purposes. ➔ If enrolling in the 1st semester: You can only participate in course selection from the "New Student Course Selection" phase onwards. ➔ If enrolling in the 2nd semester: Your course selection period will begin according to the official "Registration Instructions for New Students" published by the Registration Division for that specific semester.
Course Selection Period & Time Logistics
- No First-Come, First-Served Bias: You may select or adjust courses at any time during the 1st to 3rd Selection Periods. Successful enrollment does not depend on how early you submit your requests; all submissions within the designated period carry equal weight.
- Daily System Processing Hours: During the active course selection log days, the system accepts entries daily from 12:00 PM (noon) until 9:00 AM the following morning. (The system is offline for data processing between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM daily).
- Unlimited Flexibility: You can reorder, add, or change your preferences and priorities as many times as you like throughout the open selection period.
Courses Marked with "Priority to [Specific Department/Year]"
To secure essential seats for major requirements, certain course capacities are strictly reserved for prioritized students during the 1st and 2nd Selection Periods (e.g., "Priority to the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature").
⚠️ Please Note: All remaining priority restrictions will be automatically removed at the start of the 3rd Selection Period, opening any unallocated seats to all eligible students.
Multiple Selection & Preference Order for Overlapping Courses
From the 1st to the 3rd Course Selection Periods (including New Student Course Selection), the system allows you to select multiple course options that have schedule conflicts.
- The numbers assigned to each course indicate your personal preference order.
- The lower the number, the higher the priority (e.g., Preference No. 1 represents your most desired course).
- Listing a wider range of preferences strategically enhances your overall chances of a successful random assignment.
Checking Your Course Selection Results
Once a course selection phase concludes, the computer system runs a random allocation process for all courses that exceed their enrollment capacity. After the results are officially announced, please log in to the Academic Information System to verify your updated schedule.
- "Registration Successful": The course has been officially added to your current semester schedule.
- "Registration Failed": The course could not be added. The screen will display the specific reason for failure (e.g., enrollment quota exceeded or prerequisite mismatch). If a failure is due to a schedule conflict, you must manually adjust your timetable during the next available selection stage.
Conditional Enrollment (Prerequisites): If you are currently taking a required prerequisite course and the final grade has not yet been submitted, the system grants temporary, conditional enrollment for the advanced course. However, please be aware that the system will automatically drop the advanced course later if you do not achieve the minimum required grade in the prerequisite.
📍 Final Action Required: Course schedules are subject to minor administrative updates. You must log in to review your final selection results prior to the start of the Add-or-Drop period, and resolve any outstanding schedule conflicts before the official Add-or-Drop deadline.
