Application Dates
2024 Fall Extra Selection
- Application Period: August 30, 2024, to September 13, 2024 (Teacher approval deadline: September 15, 2024)
- Late applications and approvals are not acceptable.
Exceptions
No Extra Selection Courses
- Extra selection is not possible for courses marked with a 'No Extra Selection' label; instead, one must enroll through the various course selection steps until the class is filled or wait for other students to quit the course before enrolling.
Special Consideration
- In exceptional cases, if the instructor agrees to special consideration and receives the department's consent, the teacher may give the departmental office permission to accept student requests for additional course enrollments.
Important Notes
- When applying, the system will check for any prerequisite requirements if the course has restrictions. If the prerequisites are not met, the application will not be accepted.
- If the system detects that the application might lead to an overload of credits, it will issue a warning. This serves as a reminder to consider applying for an overload with the department first to avoid any issues during the teacher's approval process due to the credit limit.
- The approval process by the teacher takes time, and even after approval, course adjustments may still be necessary. It is advisable to submit your application as early as possible. The deadline for submitting add-drop requests for the first semester of the 113th academic year is September 13th. Teachers can complete the approval process by September 15th. After 9:00 AM on September 16th, any pending add-drop requests that have not been approved or are unresolved (e.g., schedule conflicts, overload, etc.) will be considered invalid.
