Waiving Policy
 

若合於下列標準，經向語言中心申請通過後，得免修英文領域必修科目：一般生免修英文一、二、三
進階生免修進階英文，但都不給予學分

Students with the following qualification(s) can apply to waive Freshman English (I, II & III) and Advanced English. Please also be noted that NO credits are granted upon the waiver.

須於畢業前自行選修學分(任何科系任何課程皆可)來補足畢業總學分數之要求。

Students must take another 6 credits (from any courses) to fulfill the general credits required.

• 全民英語能力分級檢定 (GEPT)中高級初試及複試（含）以上
  GEPT High-intermediate – Speaking (80) and Writing (80) Tests
• 托福網路測驗（TOEFL iBT） 92分（含）以上 TOEFL iBT_92
• 雅思國際英語測驗（IELTS） 6.5級（含）以上 IELTS_6.5
• 英國劍橋大學國際英文認證分級測驗CAE（含） 以上Main Suite _CAE
• 外國學生、僑生、教育部分發之派外人員子女，持高中成績單正本（英文科成績總平均至少B+以上）及其他相關英文程度證明至語言中心申請，個案審理通過者
  Foreign students, overseas Chinese and children of overseas MOE officials _High School English B+ and above

Notes
 

• 通過必修英文免修申請者，亦視同通過英文畢業門檻。
  Students having waived these courses automatically pass graduation threshold in English field. 
• 若欲繼續精進和修習英文課程，建議修習更高階之各類選修英文課程（科號LANG），課程內容請參考課程大綱或洽語言中心。
  Students intending to further learn the language are advised to take other elective English courses offered by the Language Center (course number starting with LANG). Please see online syllabi or consult the Center for more course information.

• 畢業前均可申請
  any time before graduation
• 新生若入學前已符合上列免修條件，各階段選課時，自行略過英文不選
  New students having met the above qualification(s) before school enrollment do not have to arrange English compulsory courses at any stage of course selection.

• 開學後，至校務資訊系統填寫申請表，攜學生證、英檢成績單、申請單，至語言中心辦公室檢核(位於人社院)。
  After school enrollment, fill in the form on the Academic Information Systems and submit the application directly to the Language Center (located at A318, HSS building), along with copies of proof attached and your original copy of proof (to be returned upon verification).
• 若無法提供成績單，語言中心可接受網路顯示出的成績，仍請攜帶申請表、已經印出來的網路公布成績加上護照身分證明，到語言中心辦公室申請，屆時語言中心辦公室會請同學現場登入網頁查詢頁面，以證明影本與正本相符合。

Students who are currently taking Freshman / Advanced English courses

可考慮繼續修課或退課。若選擇退課，請務必於加退選或二退期間自行退選正在選修的課程。
Can continue taking or drop the course. Please do follow the academic calendar should you decide to drop the course.

已修畢部分課程
Students who have completed some Freshman / Advanced English courses

已取得之學分可計入畢業學分。
can have credits earned be counted as the general credits required.
