Advisor – Viewing Advising Passwords
Advisor-Student System Administration: Counseling Center, Office of Student Affairs
The advising system at National Tsing Hua University is promoted and managed by the Counseling Center under the Office of Student Affairs. For more details, please refer to the NTHU Advising System Guidelines.
Explanation of the Advising Password System
To enhance the advising function in course selection and promote communication between advisors and students, the university requires each student to meet with their advisor at least once per semester. Students must discuss course selection matters with their advisor during the course selection period to obtain the advising password, which must then be entered into the course selection system.
What is the format of the advising password?
The advising password is an 8-digit number, unique to each student and changed every semester.
How can advisors check their advisees' passwords?
To access advisee information, log in to the Academic Information System. In the left-hand menu, go to "Students Information/Maintenance." Click the “+” icon to expand the menu, then select [Passwords, Selected Courses, Transcript, Email].
This section allows you to view each advisee’s name, advising password, course enrollment, and academic transcript.
An email function is also available for contacting your advisees directly through the system.
