Submission Deadline
Please submit the course syllabus prior to the first course selection, but no later than the start of the semester.

Important Notes:
Importance and Stability of the Course Syllabus
- Please avoid making significant changes to the course syllabus, especially regarding grading, once it is published, unless absolutely necessary.
- If there are prerequisites for the course, enrollment restrictions or a clear indication of the required prerequisites should be stated in the syllabus.
Course Withdrawal Policy
- If withdrawal from the course is not permitted, this must be clearly stated in the syllabus.
Compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act
- Please comply with the Personal Data Protection Act and refrain from including personal information (e.g., teaching assistant details) in the syllabus. If necessary, consider announcing it during class.
Attendance Grade Policy
- A student’s attendance grade cannot be deducted if the student has obtained prior approval from the instructor for official leave, personal leave, or sick leave, and the total leave hours do not exceed 25% of the course's total hours.
- Instructors may set specific rules for their courses, which will take precedence but must be clearly specified in the syllabus.

New Regulations for Student Leave of Absence (Effective from the 2024 Academic Year)
- National Tsing Hua University has officially implemented the Student Leave Policy, developed by the Division of Student Assistance under the Office of Student Affairs, starting from the 113th academic year.
- Instructors who have specific leave requirements for their courses must clearly state them in their course syllabus to prevent potential disputes.
