Thesis Research

Explanation

  • For students in the Master's and Doctoral programmes of the individual departments, according to the regulations of their respective departments, they should start taking the course "Thesis Research" for 0 credits from the 2nd or 3rd year and continue to do so each semester until graduation.
  • If you do not make a choice before the add/drop deadline, the system will automatically enroll you after the add/drop period.
  • After the add/drop period, you can go to the School Information System and check under "Grade Inquiry" to confirm that you have been successfully enrolled.
  • First-year Master's and Ph.D. students who need to take the 'Thesis Research' course for particular reasons must request an additional selection.

Grades

  • No credits will be counted, no fees will be charged, and no grades will be given during the time that you are enrolled in the Dissertation Research course.
  • Grade Not Available will be displayed in the grade enquiry interface for each semester of Thesis Research or Thesis prior to graduation.
  • Upon completion of the pre-graduation oral defence, the Registrar's Office will enter the thesis grade for the semester in which the student graduates. This grade is the final examination grade and is shown in the top right-hand corner of the transcript.
